The environmental permit granted by the Western and Inner Finland Regional State Administrative Agency (AVI) for Nordic Ren-Gas's (Ren-Gas) Tampere e-methane project has gained legal force. The issued environmental permit marks a significant milestone for the Tampere e-methane project, with construction scheduled to commence in Tampere during the year 2024.
Gasum and Nordic Ren-Gas have signed an e-methane offtake agreement. Nordic Ren-Gas’s Power-to-Gas plant in Tampere will produce annually 160 GWh of renewable e-methane, which Gasum will procure and distribute it to its customers. The use of e-methane will cut greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in road and maritime transport.
Pori Energia and Nordic Ren-Gas Join Forces in Project Development – Towards a Carbon-Negative Future with Carbon Capture and Utilization
Pori Energia Ltd and Nordic Ren-Gas Ltd (Ren-Gas) have signed a project development agreement regarding carbon capture and the production of renewable e-methane, green hydrogen, and district heating in Pori. The integrated production facility will be located on the Aittaluoto industrial site, adjacent to Pori Energia's bio-power plant, providing excellent infrastructure for biogenic carbon capture and competitive carbon refinement into a renewable fuel.
