Binding EU legislation to reduce CO₂ emissions, effective from 2028.

RFNBO
Renewable fuels that count towards EU targets.

E-methane
RFNBO fuel that works in existing gas infrastructure for distribution and utilisation.
Ren-Gas
E-methane producer with projects ready to supply the 2028–2030 market.
Why the solution works
Meeting EU climate goals does not have to mean higher costs or operational risk. With e-methane from Finland and Ren-Gas as your partner, you gain a dependable way to comply with regulation, secure long-term fuel supply and strengthen your competitive position in the green transition.
E-methane: One molecule, infinite uses
E-methane is a ready RFNBO fuel that helps you meet EU climate rules without waiting for new infrastructure.
It is ready for large-scale use by 2030, which means you can act within this decade rather than waiting for future technologies. By choosing e-methane, your business gains a head start in meeting regulatory requirements and positions itself at the forefront of the green transition.
Why Finland?
Finland offers an unmatched foundation for competitive e-methane production. Finland combines low-cost green electricity, abundant biogenic CO₂ and a stable power system, making e-methane production both competitive and reliable.
With strong logistics and a direct gas link to Europe, Finnish e-methane can be delivered efficiently across the continent.
Ren-Gas
Ren-Gas is a pioneer in the hydrogen economy, focused on turning climate goals into concrete, bankable projects.
Ren-Gas turns hydrogen economy plans into real, bankable projects. We optimise the full e-methane value chain, from design to operations, to deliver reliable, cost-effective and scalable green fuel for our partners.
With Ren-Gas, you gain a trusted partner who understands both the technical and commercial realities of the evolving green energy market.
Combined with a stable power grid, political stability, a 2035 carbon neutrality target, and a skilled workforce, Finland is ideally positioned to become the leading e-methane producer in Europe.
Projects
Ren-Gas has a concrete project pipeline, with the first e-methane plant ready for construction and several more in development. All projects make use of Finland’s strong conditions and are managed through a centralised control room for efficient, real-time optimisation. This portfolio proves that large-scale decarbonisation can be both practical and profitable.
